PVC Ball Valves
PVC ball valves contain a spherical disc designed to control the flow of fluids through them. The sphere has a hole through the middle of it so that when the hole is parallel to the end of the valve, fluids can pass through unimpeded. When the valve is shut off, the hole turns perpendicular to the ends of the valve, stopping the flow completely.
Because PVC ball valves don’t rust, are capable of handling high pressures, and can withstand most chemicals, they are used for a wide range of applications, including lab settings, swimming pools, water treatment, chemical processing, life science, food and beverage, and more.
Unlike steel, bronze, brass, or any kind of metal, PVC will never rust. That means less maintenance is required and a longer lifetime can be expected from these valves, making them a great value, one of the most attractive features of PVC is its low maintenance requirement. This material is durable, and it’s corrosion-resistant. It’s an ideal choice for outdoor applications where the valve may not be used very often, but when it is, you know it’s going to work, providing you with several years of dependable use.
PVC also has great chemical resistance and can stand up to a wide range of harsh chemical agents. This makes these ball valves suitable for an array of applications, so you can use them with confidence knowing they’ll stand up to the job at hand. PVC ball valves can handle temperatures up to 140⁰ F.
