CPVC Ball Valves
CPVC ball valves are built to withstand some of the most grueling working conditions. Designed to endure temperatures up to 200⁰F, CPVC ball valves are more durable than their standard PVC counterparts, which can only handle 140⁰F. This makes them ideal for handling high temperature fluids and an array of corrosive chemicals for industrial and commercial applications. They’re also capable of handling high-pressure applications.
CPVC ball valves operate just like any other type of ball valve – using a spherical disc that controls the flow of liquids passing through it. A hole goes directly through the center of the sphere, and when the hole is lined up with the pipe’s opening, materials can pass through. When the hole is turned perpendicular to the pipe’s ends, the valve is shut off, and no liquids or gases can flow through.
More about CPVC Ball Valves...
These types of valves are an ideal solution when the ability to open or close the flow of water or other liquids is necessary. Since CVPV ball valves feature simple “on” and “off” functions, they are the obvious and practical choice for plumbers and contractors.
Not only are they easy to use, CPVC ball valves are also extremely durable. Damaging these valves is rather difficult, so they are able to endure many cycles without a problem. However, if damage does occur, repairs are relatively easy to make to these parts.
Compared to PVC valves, CPVC ball valves are unique because of the chlorine treatment they have undergone, making them resistant to damage from severe conditions, high pressures, and high temperatures. Due to their ruggedness, CPVC ball valves are the product of choice when constructing pipeline systems for harsh environments and hot water applications.
